Meet Canela!
Canela is a sweet girl who came to us when her owner could no longer care for her, and she's ready to find her next home. She's already familiar with the comforts of home life, including twice-daily walks, crate time, and plenty of pampering. She even loves bath time and happily lets her family brush her and trim her nails, so this girl knows how to enjoy a little spa day!

My Ideal Home
Canela would love a calm, adult-only home where she can settle into a comfortable routine with someone who understands her. She enjoys her walks and would benefit from plenty of enrichment and positive-reinforcement training.

Good with Other Pets?
Canela's history with other dogs is limited, and she wasn't able to complete her dog assessment. Her previous family also noted that cats and small animals can be a little too exciting for her on walks, so she'll do best with thoughtful management and a family who can help her stay comfortable around her triggers.

Good with Kids?
Canela would do best in an adult-only home based on what her previous family shared about her comfort level with unfamiliar people and situations. Her ideal people will be patient, respectful of her boundaries, and happy to let her warm up at her own pace.

Things to Know
Canela can be a little cautious with new people and may need some time before she's ready to say hello. She also has some strong feelings about her food and treats, so her family should give her space while she's enjoying them and use positive trade-up games when needed. She's a lovely leash walker with only mild pulling, and once she's comfortable, she has a soft side that's ready to shine. With a little patience and a lot of love, Canela could be the perfect little spice in someone's life.
