Meet Stimpy

Stimpy’s story is a heartbreaking reminder of how quickly a beloved pet can become forgotten. Stimpy and his companion, Ren, were found abandoned inside a Bronx apartment after the building’s former superintendent left and no one remained to care for them.

By the time they were discovered by the new superintendent, they were in terrible condition. They were severely infested with fleas, and Stimpy was suffering from severely matted fur and a painful skin infection that had become so serious that maggots had developed.

It’s difficult to imagine how long these two boys were left without anyone checking on them or knowing they were even there. Yet Stimpy has shown us that his difficult past does not define the dog he is today.

He is deserving of comfort, kindness, and a family who will never let him feel forgotten again. We are so grateful that Stimpy is finally safe and has the opportunity to begin the life he should have always known.
