Beans N Toast is on the at-risk list due to behavior concerns. In the care center, Beans N Toast redirected onto a staff member while exiting the kennel room, delivering a quick bite-and-release to the thigh without an identifiable trigger. Following the incident, Beans N Toast was able to continue the walk and return to kennel without further issue and overall in the care center has been social with staff. Medically, Beans N Toast has CIRDC.

Beans N Toast's came into the care center as a stray; due to this, his behavior history in a home environment is unknown. Beans N Toast's has shown social behavior with handler leaning into touch. Beans N Toast redirected onto a staff member while exiting the kennel room, delivering a quick bite-and-release to the thigh without an identifiable trigger. Due to these concerns, we recommend that Beans N Toast's be placed in an adult-only home through a New Hope partner that can address his challenges with the use of a professional trainer/behaviorist who uses positive reinforcement methods only.
