Meet Mopple!

Mopple arrived at the care center after being found tied to a pole with another dog, and while his past is unknown, he's shown himself to be a social, affectionate, and enthusiastic boy who is eager to connect with people. He has a big personality and an even bigger love for attention once he feels comfortable.

My Ideal Home

Mopple would do best in an active, structured home that can help him channel his excitement into positive outlets. He benefits from daily exercise, enrichment, and consistent reward-based training to support his impulse control and help him learn calmer ways to interact with the world. He thrives with routine and clear guidance.

Good with Other Pets?

Mopple was found with another dog, but his behavior with other animals in a home setting is still unknown, so slow and thoughtful introductions are recommended.

Good with Kids?

Due to his high arousal level and tendency to jump and mouth when excited, ACC recommends a home without young children.

Things to Know

Mopple is a friendly, treat-motivated dog who can become very excited during interactions, sometimes jumping up and mouthing the leash or treat pouch. Once he settles, he enjoys leaning into handlers for affection and responds well to gentle handling and treats. He is still learning impulse control, so consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement training will be key to helping him succeed. He also benefits from calm introductions and the ability to opt into interactions at his own pace.

Once Mopple gets his zoomies out, he transforms into a total cuddle-seeker who leans right into you like he's always known you.

My foster writes: If you're looking for a puppy, then you got one. He's one year-old now so he's a puppy with a lot of talent. All he wants to do is say Hi. Some positive reinforcement would go a long and if you're an experienced walker it will all just fall into place as he gets to know you better!
