Vega was surrendered to care as a stray due to her owner passing away. Lego was surrendered along with three other dogs. One of the three dogs was found with bite wounds, but it is unknown whether Vega or one of the other two dogs had bitten the victim. During her staying care, Vega has displayed high levels of fearfulness and avoidant behavior. She can be reluctant to leave her kennel at times, meeting handlers to pick her up for removal. She has also been noted to be reluctant to walk at times and is often carried. Due to these behaviors, we recommend that Vega be placed in an adult-only home through a New Hope Rescue partner that can allow Vega the time and space to decompress and acclimate at her own pace.
