Coco is at risk due to behavior concerns. During her time in the care center Coco has been observed to be tense, easily started. She has also been noted to freeze, flinch, growl, bear teeth, vocalize and thrash when leash pressure is applied. Her previous owners describe her as social, affectionate, active, and playful. Medically, she is overweight.

Coco arrived at MACC as an owner surrender. Her previous owner describes her as social and affectionate. During intake, she was observed to be tense and easily startled, however overtime she began leaning into the handler. While in care, Coco has displayed significant fear and anxiety, including freezing, flinching, growling, showing teeth, and vocalizing. She has also been noted to thrash when leash pressure is applied. We recommend placement with a New Hope partner who can provide any necessary behavior modification (force-free, positive reinforcement-based) and re-evaluate behavior in a stable home environment before placement into a permanent home.

Just Rescues does not process applications. The rescue's page is authoritative.
