My Foster writes: If you're looking for a dog that will encourage you to get on the couch to finish that HBO series you've wanted to, Buster is your man. Loves to cuddle and jam himself into you and doesn't care if it's a show he's seen before. Loves to take long walks, happy saying hello to strangers, and likes having his napping crate full of tennis balls. Is a very fast learner and has learned the rules of our house better than some humans who are here (no names - but you know who you are). Buster has clear ideas of which direction he'd like to head on each walk and usually his ideas work out well - though the time he walked us into the spooky cemetery wasn't so cool. After two weeks with us, there is no fire hydrant or lamp post in town he has not christened and blessed. While most dogs love hanging out the window during car rides - and he might get there - he'd prefer to stretch out and snooze in the back seat whether it's a drive to the grocery store or a long drive.

Buster (FKA Grillmaster) is 60 lbs of love and affection. He loves long walks, snoozing against you on the couch, and chasing tennis balls until they are soaking wet. He loves peeing on fire hydrants and lamp posts, and greets every stranger he meets with big tail wags. He is house broken, learns commands very quickly, is good on the leash, and loves going into his crate for nap breaks. He will make some family very lucky to have him in their home.

Grillmaster arrived at MACC as a stray with no known history. While in care, he has been observed to have a low threshold for arousal. Noted to head whip with an open mouth and begin running around the room when the handler attempts to interact with him. Due to the detailed behavior, we recommend an experienced adult-only home.

A staff member writes: Grillmaster is a calm, easygoing pup who loves leisurely walks, sniffing his surroundings, and spending time with his people. He's a polite walking companion with little to no leash pulling, happily ignores dogs, people, and bicycles, and enjoys gentle pets, treats, and making his crate cozy by collecting blankets and toys. At the care center, he has shown friendly social skills, relaxing quickly during introductions and offering playful bounces and a play bow. If you're looking for a mellow, affectionate companion, Grillmaster is ready to meet you!
