Smokey is a sensitive boy who came to us as a stray, so we don't know much about his past. When he first arrived, the world felt pretty scary to him, but little by little he's starting to realize that people can be kind. He's been slowly warming up to staff and showing us the sweet dog hiding behind those nervous eyes.

Smokey is looking for a calm, patient adult-only home that will give him the time and space he needs to settle in and build trust at his own pace. Once he feels safe, his gentle personality begins to shine through.

One thing Smokey does take very seriously is his toys - they're extra special to him! Because of this, he should be allowed to enjoy them peacefully without being disturbed.

This shy guy may need a little extra time, but for the right person, watching Smokey grow in confidence will be incredibly rewarding.
