My foster writes: Meet your new cuddle buddy! This sweet, affectionate boy loves being close to his people and is known for giving actual hugs-he'll wrap his front legs around you and rest his head while soaking up the attention. He gets so excited for mealtime that he jumps and spins, loves car rides and playing in the sprinklers, and will happily curl up next to you on the couch for movie night. He even watches TV and tries to follow the ball during basketball games! With his funny personality and loving nature, he's sure to bring plenty of smiles and snuggles to his future home.

Ace of Hearts was surrendered when his owner could no longer care for him. He previously lived with adults, and is described as a highly social, wiggly, and affectionate dog who loves interacting with people. He comes over readily for attention, leans into touch, and enjoys playtime, often offering play bows and engaging happily with toys.

My Ideal Home

Ace would do best in a calm, patient home that can support him as he settles in and builds confidence. He can be anxious at times and may pace or have trouble settling, especially in new environments, so a consistent routine and a quiet space will help him feel more secure.

Good with Other Pets?

Ace has shown neutral behavior around dogs at the shelter, but he is not a match for homes with cats due to lunging toward them on walks. Continued positive reinforcement training and management will be important when navigating environments with other animals.

Good with Kids?

A home without young children under 5 is recommended due to his sensitivity to handling and tendency to become fearful when startled.
