Mickey was surrendered by his previous owner because his previous family was evicted from their home. His previous family described him as a friendly, gentle dog, who loves spending quality time with his family, car rides, and all types of toys and balls. During his stay in care, Mickey has been highly fearful and reluctant to leave his kennel and walk, though he has shown some social behaviors with known handlers when given space and a slow approach. Due to these concerns, we recommend that Mickey be placed in an adult-only home through a New Hope Rescue partner where he can decompress and acclimate at his own pace.
