King Zeus was surrendered into care as a stray, so his past behavior in a home environment is unknown. King Zeus was reported to have bitten an officer when they were attempting to untie him and another dog he was tied up with. The officer was bitten on their forearm, and the bite resulted in a small puncture wound. King Zeus has been observed to warm up slowly to handlers, taking some time to acclimate before seeking attention or displaying social behavior. We recommend placement with a New Hope partner who can provide any necessary behavior modification (force-free, positive reinforcement-based) and re-evaluate behavior in a stable home environment before placement into a permanent home.
