Karla is a volunteer favorite and a truly special dog looking for the right match. This beautiful German Shepherd mix takes time to trust, but once you’re in her circle, you’re there for life. She’s affectionate, loyal, and loves her walks, car rides, and a good game of fetch or frisbee. She is housetrained, incredibly smart, and about 50 pounds. She was born in November 2018.

Here is the tricky part - Karla does not like strangers, and sometimes other dogs. Karla takes a long time to warm up, and as such she cannot go home with just anyone. She is protective of her people, so she will need a home where this is respected. An experienced dog owner is a must. Shepherd experience is a plus.
