Clarissa is a 1-year-old, 20-pound mixed-breed pup with the perfect combination of playful energy and a gentle, affectionate heart. She is super curious and endlessly sweet. She's just as happy exploring the neighborhood as she is snuggled up beside her favorite person. She is also house-trained and loves being close to her human, whether she's napping nearby while you work or watch TV. She enjoys looking out the window, playing with toys, and especially playing with her foster sister.

Going outside is one of Clarissa's favorite things. She enthusiastically sniffs her way through every walk, taking in all the sights and smells on the way to the park. She's friendly with both people and other dogs, greets everyone happily, and takes treats very gently. She's also a good car passenger, making her a fun companion for adventures and weekend outings.

One of Clarissa's superpowers is her joyfulness. She is genuinely happy when she wakes up and sees her person, heads out for a walk, meets other pups, sniffs the grass, and, of course, for treats and meals.

She enjoys city life and walks confidently through Brooklyn, happily investigating every tree and interesting scent. She's unfazed by traffic and city noise. At home, she's calm and content, happiest simply being near her person.

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
