Meet Dakota

Dakota is a mama who deserves a second chance at life, and her story has a beautiful reunion at its heart.

Her puppies were found abandoned in Mississippi, left without their mama and facing an uncertain future. A few weeks later, Dakota was found and brought to the very same shelter where her babies were waiting. After weeks apart, this little family was finally reunited.

Now Dakota is ready for her own happy ending. She deserves a safe, loving home where she can relax, feel secure, and be cherished for the wonderful girl she is. After everything she has been through, it’s her turn to be cared for.

Please consider opening your heart and home to Dakota. Her story brought her back to her babies, and now we hope it leads her to a family who will love her forever.

Please remember that adoption bios are only a snapshot of each animal. Please reach out to our Adoption Team for additional information about Dakota and to learn if she may be the right fit for your home.

All dogs will be altered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption.
