My foster writes: Cutest big baby boi with the best manner. So well-behaved! So loving! Cuddle on four legs with the cutest squishy face. Meet him today to squeeze that face :)))

My foster writes: This sweet pup is basically a walking cuddle with four legs. Always gentle, always well-mannered, and always ready to love, he follows the rules like a pro and steal hearts without even trying. Whether it's a soft nuzzle, a wagging tail, or calmly sitting by your side, this dog's superpower is spreading warmth and happiness everywhere they go. Truly the goodest, snuggliest soul around.

Meet Marley!

Marley was found roaming the streets and brought to us by police officers, who described him as friendly and easygoing on arrival. He's a social, affectionate boy who seeks out human attention and enjoys pets and snuggles. Shelter life has been a big adjustment, and while he's enthusiastic and wiggly, he's also gentle and eager to connect with people who give him a little guidance.

My Ideal Home

Marley would do best with an adopter who enjoys an active routine and is excited to help him build some basic manners. He's still learning how to channel his enthusiasm, so consistency, positive-reinforcement training, and daily mental and physical enrichment will help him thrive. A calm, structured environment will support his continued progress as he gains confidence and strength.

Good with Other Pets?

Marley has limited history with other animals. In the shelter, he has shown difficulty during close dog greetings and may react strongly at first. He may do best as the only dog, or with slow, carefully managed introductions guided by an experienced adopter or trainer.

Leash Manners

Walks with moderate pulling and lots of curiosity. He benefits from guidance, treats, and practice to help him stay focused and polite while out and about.

Overall Health

Arrived significantly underweight and is currently on a refeeding plan. Otherwise healthy and expected to continue improving with proper nutrition and care.

Behavior Determination

Level 3. Marley is friendly and social but lacks basic manners and impulse control. He will benefit from training focused on calm greetings, attention, and basic cues using force-free, reward-based methods.

Other Fun Facts

• Big fan of snuggles and human attention

• Highly social and loves being near his people

• Enjoys toys and treats and is motivated to learn

• Ready for a fresh start with someone who'll help him shine

Marley is enrolled in our Shelter Scholar program and is working hard to become a calmer, more confident pup on the leash.
