Scrubs is a sweet, gentle, and very timid young pup who is slowly learning that the world can be a safe place. She is very observant and cautious, always watching her surroundings and the people around her before deciding whether she feels comfortable. New people and unfamiliar experiences can be overwhelming for her, so she needs a little extra time and patience to feel safe.

Since arriving at her foster home, Scrubs has already made meaningful progress. At first, she was too nervous to be touched, but she now allows her foster to pet and gently scratch her. She enjoys having her own safe space and prefers to approach people and new experiences at her own pace.

Scrubs is still building confidence with visitors, being handled, wearing a harness, and exploring the outside world. She hasn’t been ready for her first real walk yet, as stepping outside is still a big and unfamiliar experience for her. Her foster is slowly introducing her to her harness, leash, and the outdoors without rushing her.

One thing that definitely wins her over is food! Scrubs loves to eat and is very food-motivated, which has been a wonderful way to help her feel more comfortable and introduce her to new things.

She would do best with a patient, gentle adopter who won’t rush her and will let her build trust at her own pace. Underneath that timid exterior is a sweet and curious little pup, and watching her slowly become more comfortable is incredibly rewarding. 🐾

She’s pee-pad trained, but she still needs to be trained to poop on the pad.
