Meet Molly!

Molly is a 2-year-old, 11-lb Chihuahua mix with a wonderful combination of curiosity, confidence, and sweetness. She can be a little cautious in a new environment, but once she gets to know other pups, her playful side shines through. She’s equally happy going for a walk, exploring the park, or simply relaxing at home with her person and foster sister. At night, she loves nothing more than snuggling up close to them to sleep.

Molly is working on her house-training and has adjusted remarkably well to the noise and traffic of Brooklyn. She’s still getting familiar with her home and neighborhood, and sometimes has accidents when she gets excited or nervous. She’s a smart cookie, though, and with consistency and patience, she’s making progress!

Some of her superpowers include being curious, alert, and attentive on walks. She walks beautifully on leash, often heeling right by your feet. She loves taking in all the interesting smells of Brooklyn and is very aware of her surroundings. When needed, she instinctively moves out of the way, and when an unfamiliar noise catches her attention, she moves closer to her human for reassurance. When it comes to cuddling, she's an expert. She'll always find a way to tuck herself into a cozy spot on your lap or legs. She is happiest when she's close to her person and foster sister.

Molly also loves mealtime. She's a good eater and will happily follow you into the kitchen, just in case something delicious is coming her way! If you're looking for a gentle soul with a curious nature, big, dark eyes that will mesmerize you, and a heart that loves being close to her humans, Molly may just be your girl.

Molly is currently being fostered in Brooklyn (Fort Greene/Clinton Hill), NY and her adoption fee is $550.

To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
