Meet Zeus!

Zeus is a sweet older gentleman who found himself at ACC after being found as a stray. He can be a little cautious at first, but once he's comfortable, he's happy to approach his people, sniff around, and accept some treats and affection. We're hoping his next stop is a forever home where he can finally feel safe and settled.

My Ideal Home

Zeus would do best with someone patient who can give him time to adjust to his new surroundings. A calm home, predictable routine, and positive-reinforcement training will help him build confidence while keeping his curious mind busy.

Good with Other Pets?

Zeus' history with other dogs is unknown. He has shown interest in dogs at the shelter, but some interactions have become overly enthusiastic, so slow introductions and careful supervision will be important.

Good with Kids?

Because of Zeus' resource guarding and mouthiness, ACC recommends an adult-only home at this time.

Things to Know

Zeus can be sensitive when he's feeling unsure and will need to be allowed to approach new people and situations at his own pace. He's also working on polite treat-taking and learning to share space around his favorite toys. With patience, positive training, and a little time to decompress, Zeus has a wonderful opportunity to become a confident companion.
