Meet Beetee “Beau” — Professional Sniffer, Amateur Bird Pouncer, Full-Time Sweetheart
Beetee is a sweet, energetic young guy with a great temperament and a serious case of “I aim to please.” He’s playful, affectionate, and convinced that every dog and human he meets is his new best friend—even when they haven’t quite decided yet. As a hunting-breed mix, he’s deeply committed to smelling everything on his walks and has a flair for dramatic pounces at birds. (The birds are unimpressed. Beetee remains hopeful.)
He’s currently living with an older dog and a cat, and he’s doing great! He’s very interested in and respectful of the cat, though the cat would like to formally register her objection. Beetee is still learning his own size around smaller dogs, so he’d do best with a family ready to help him practice his doggy manners.
Beetee’s Resume
· House trained: ✅
· Basic commands: Picking up “come,” “sit,” and “down” quickly
· Crate training: Not yet—work in progress
· Leash training: Also a work in progress, but he’s trying
· Quiet at home: Mostly! He’ll bark only if something exciting happens
· Appetite: Moderate. He seems to enjoy chicken. We’re still on a mission to find the treat that makes him light up outside during training
Energy Level: 7/10
Beetee needs a solid hour-plus walk morning and evening, plus some playtime/socializing and a couple of shorter midday walks. After that? He’s pretty chill in the house.
The Ideal Home
Beetee will thrive with a dedicated owner who enjoys working with a dog, keeping him mentally stimulated, and helping him polish his leash skills. He loves other dogs, humans, and a good brain game. He’s loyal, sweet, and an amazing addition to the right home.
All in all, Beetee is a wonderful pup with a big heart, a busy nose, and a lot of love to give. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s equal parts goofball and good boy, Beau might just be your guy.
ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at WaldosRescue.org and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog. We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs. Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States and Korea.
Just Rescues does not process applications. The rescue's page is authoritative.
