Carrot Ginger

Retriever, Labrador / Pyrenees, Great · Foster Home

Carrot Ginger is a 1-year-old Great Pyrenees mix who weighs around 58 lbs and has a whole lot of love to hand out. He’s incredibly friendly, loves his walks, and would happily stop to say hi to just about everyone he passes. Dogs are especially exciting, and he does the cutest little hop-skip when he spots one coming his way. If he gets the chance to say hello, expect plenty of enthusiastic face kisses.

He’s still very much a teenager, so his excitement can sometimes be a lot for dogs who prefer a more reserved greeting, but it all comes from a very social, affectionate place. Carrot Ginger loves cuddling and being near his people, while still being perfectly happy to take a little space for himself in his crate or stretched out on the floor.

He walks beautifully on leash, loves people, gets just as excited to see kids as he does dogs, and is a very smart boy. He already knows sit and paw, and recently added down to his repertoire. He’s eager to please, very food motivated, and would thrive with adopters who are ready to keep building on his training and give him the structure a young dog still needs.
