Potato Pancakes was found as a stray, but this sweet, social pup is ready to find a family to call his own! He's a friendly fellow with a wagging tail, a love for treats, and plenty of affection to share. He happily approaches people and leans in for pets, making it easy to see why he'd make such a lovely companion. Who's ready to bring home this breakfast time cutie?

My Ideal Home
Potato Pancakes would love a home where he can enjoy daily walks, fun adventures, and plenty of quality time with his favorite people. He's an enthusiastic walking buddy who enjoys following along and exploring the world around him. Food puzzles, long lasting chews, and games like hide and seek will help keep his mind busy, too. After a fun day together, he'll be ready for more treats and attention!

Good with Other Pets?
Potato Pancakes's history with other animals is unknown, but he showed no reaction to other dogs during his assessment. Slow, thoughtful introductions with any resident pets will help everyone get comfortable and start off on the right paw.

Things to Know
Potato Pancakes walks with only mild pulling and is happy to follow his handler with an enthusiastic, wagging tail. He enjoys attention and readily leans into affection, so there's plenty of sweetness to go around. We're still learning about his life outside the shelter, and a loving home with daily exercise, enrichment, and plenty of companionship will help him settle in. This handsome guy is ready to flip his life around and find his very own happily ever after!

My Boroughbreaker writes: He was remarkably composed during a couple of unexpected moments on our walk. I tripped slightly while moving around him once, and another time I had to react quickly to catch my cap as the wind blew it off. Despite these sudden, unanticipated movements around him, he didn't seem upset or agitated, but simply carried on as usual. He was as cool as a cucumber!
I really appreciated how tolerant and unfazed he was in the face of my rookie moments, especially since we had only just met. I thought this was another lovely side of his personality worth sharing!

A Volunteer Wrote: If you aren't in love with Potato Pancakes that means you haven't met him: EVERYONE in in love with this gorgeous boy! He is wiggly, adorable, and exudes kindness in the world. When you sit, he will circle around and around your hand to optimize the amounts of surface reached with your pets; then he will snuggle up by your side. My heart hurt when he perceived me as moving quickly and dropped to the ground, eyes closed and bracing for the worst. The world may not have been kind to this dog, but he is forgiveness incarnate, and we are so eager to have his kindness rewarded with more of the same.
