Monie was found in an apartment and is ready to find the loving home she deserves. This sweet girl is a total people person who lights up when she gets attention. With her wagging tail, happy personality, and love for cuddles, Monie is the kind of companion who will happily be your new best friend.

Due to Monie's mouthy behavior and enthusiastic play style, we recommend an adult-only home at this time. She would do best with people who can help her practice polite greetings and respectful play.

She can get a little overexcited and may jump up or use her mouth when playing, but with consistent positive reinforcement and fun training games, she is ready to learn.

"As soon as the kennel door opened I knew I'd be smitten. Monie happily wagged her tail at me and looked at me with her gorgeous eyes, waiting for me to leash her up. She sweetly came out and away we went. Our walk together was effortless. We instantly felt like best friends as Monie happily posed for selfies. Every time I crouched down to snap a quick picture she leaned in for pets and kisses! I was able to get lots of adorable nose boop glamour shots! Throughout my shift I couldn't help myself from cooing at her and talking to her. I have no doubt Monie will be the ultimate bestie. From snoozing on the couch to taking a stroll on the town, Monie is up for anything!!!"

My Boroughbreaker writes: I spent the day with Monie in Central Park, and she was the perfect companion. She walks well on her leash and is friendly with both adults and children. During our walk, she was not reactive to bikes, skateboards, or cars, though she does pull when she sees other dogs. We did not interact with other dogs, so I am unsure how she would be with them.
When we took a break, she plopped right down next to me and rolled onto her belly for rubs. We received many compliments on how pretty she is! Monie will make a great sidekick, and I hope she finds her loving forever home soon.

My Boroughbreaker writes: Monie stole my heart before our borough break even began. When she was walked out to meet me, she was proudly carrying a tiny purple plush koala, happily tossing it in the air and catching it herself. Naturally, our first stop had to be the pet store so she could pick out a few more toys. After choosing some new stuffies, we headed to Central Park for a stroll and some time relaxing in the grass. Monie is a great walker, and when we found a shady spot for a water break, I brought out her new toys. She was absolutely delighted. She rolled around on her back in the grass with her stuffies, squeaked them with enthusiasm, and happily entertained herself without destroying a single one. Watching her play was impossible not to smile at. Monie is such a fun, spunky girl, and her adorable little raccoon markings only add to her charm. We also stopped for a pup cup, which she gobbled up. She never barked during our day together and only showed a little extra interest when passing other dogs. She's highly treat-motivated and redirected easily, making it clear she's eager to learn and would be a joy to train. More than anything, Monie seems to be looking for life's simple pleasures: toys to carry around, belly rubs, a cozy couch, and someone to love. Beneath her goofy, playful personality is an incredibly sweet girl who would love a family of her own. If you're looking for a dog who will make you laugh, keep you company, and remind you to find joy in the little things, Monie might be your perfect match.
