Louie was surrendered by his previous owner due to moving and not having time to provide adequate care for him. Louie is described as a loving, playful, and energetic dog who enjoys spending time with people and being part of the family. He enjoys spending time indoors in the living room and bedroom as well as outdoors. Louie's favorite treats include peanut butter-flavored dog ice cream and beef jerky, and he especially enjoys chewing on his favorite bone. He eats both wet and dry Buffalo food. Louie has been fearful and defensive during his time in care. We recommend placement with a New Hope partner who can provide any necessary behavior modification (force-free, positive reinforcement-based) and re-evaluate behavior in a stable home environment before placement into a permanent home.
