Meet Mylo!
Mylo came to ACC when his owner could no longer care for him. This young pup is a fun-loving, playful guy who enjoys being around people, but he can also be a little shy when faced with new experiences. Once he starts to feel comfortable, his goofy personality comes out-he loves to greet people enthusiastically and is eager to be part of the action. He's looking for a patient family that will help him continue building confidence while teaching him good manners.
My Ideal Home
Mylo would do best with an adopter who is committed to positive reinforcement training and can provide him with structure, consistency, and plenty of exercise. He'll benefit from continued work on polite greetings, impulse control, and becoming more comfortable with handling, especially around his head and neck. A patient home that allows him to settle in at his own pace will help him thrive.
Good with Kids?
Due to his handling sensitivity, mouthy play style, and tendency to become overwhelmed, Mylo is recommended for a home with children 13 years and older.
Good with Other Pets?
Mylo's history with other dogs is unknown. In the shelter, he has shown appropriate social interest during introductions and was tolerant of another dog, though he occasionally became overexcited and attempted to hump. Slow introductions with any resident dogs are recommended. His history with cats is unknown.
Overall Health
Mylo is healthy overall. He can be sensitive to handling around his head and neck and may become nervous in unfamiliar situations, but he has otherwise done well during his care.
Behavior Determination
Level 3 - Experienced Adopters. Mylo is a friendly, playful dog who is still learning how to manage his excitement and build confidence with handling. He will do best with adopters who will continue reward-based training, respect his boundaries, and help him develop polite manners as he matures.
Other Fun Facts
Mylo loves treats and is eager to interact with people once he feels comfortable. He's crate trained for short periods, has a playful, goofy personality, and is sure to keep his future family smiling as he grows into a confident, well-mannered companion!
