Meet Poppy!

Poppy’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. She was found wandering the streets alone and frightened, clearly having been through more than any dog should. Her early experiences were challenging, but they never took away from the wonderful spirit that has always been a part of her.

Poppy is a sweet, soft-hearted girl who will continue to blossom in a calm, patient, and loving environment. While she can be a little apprehensive of people that she doesn't know, it’s clear she just needs reassurance and trust to build her confidence. When she has someone by her side who moves at her pace and helps her feel secure, she lets her true personality shine.

Poppy is incredibly smart and truly enjoys building bonds with humans. At the shelter she has learned to give paw and loves the positive praise she receives from doing it. She also enjoys people watching, treats (duh!) and sleeping in a soft bed surrounded by blankets and toys.
