Description provided by Muddy Paws Rescue

Reba is new to New York and is adapting to the city wonderfully! She loves to stay close to her people and nap, and will take all the pets you are willing to give her! She is a bit timid at first, but will be your best friend once she gets comfortable. She is a bit hesitant to go into the crate, but she usually calms down after ~10 minutes. She is curious but not reactive to people or other dogs while walking. She is generally pretty good about staying close to you while on the leash, but will pull when she is smelling something particurally interesting or another dog walks by. She struggled a bit with housetraining her first couple days in the city, but is a quick learner and has had few accidents since then. She is not very food-driven. We have noticed that she prefers treats that have a strong smell. Reba is relatively low energy, and prefers laying down and getting pets over long walks. She will make the perfect companion to someone who wants a loving lapdog to spend their time with!

Reba is approximately 5y 0m 18d old and is fully grown at 35 pounds. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done.

Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog.
