Blanca was surrendered to the care center by her previous owner due to them moving somewhere that did not allow pets. Her previous owners describe her as a social, affectionate dog who "just wants to be loved all day", and who loves playing with tennis balls and spending time where her people are. Blanca has not acclimated well to the kennel environment and has shown highly fearful behavior, escalating to hard barking and growling at staff when being removed from kennel, and consistently seeking exit when brought into new environments. Due to these concerns, we recommend placement with a New Hope partner who can allow for decompression, provide any necessary behavior modification (force-free, positive reinforcement-based) and re-evaluate behavior in a stable home environment before placement into a permanent home.
