Meet Snickers!

Snickers arrived at Queens ACC as a stray in rough condition, but he's been steadily healing and showing more of his gentle personality each day. Despite limited history, staff have already seen a sweet, soft-natured boy who is tolerant, calm, and beginning to open up as he recovers.

My Ideal Home

Snickers would do best in a patient, low-pressure home that can give him time to fully recover and settle in. He benefits from gentle routines, calm environments, and positive reinforcement as he continues building confidence. As he heals, he will likely thrive with quiet structure and steady encouragement.

Good with Other Pets?

Snickers' history with other animals is unknown, so slow introductions are recommended if there are resident pets.

Due to his fearful presentation and need for a calm environment, ACC recommends a home without young children under 5.

Things to Know

Snickers is a gentle, observant dog who can be a bit reserved at first, sometimes choosing to move away from interaction until he feels comfortable. Once leashed, he walks calmly at a steady pace and may pause or resist briefly but responds well to treats and reassurance. He tolerates handling and has shown soft, friendly body language such as tail wagging and relaxed behavior during care. As he continues to heal medically, his full personality is still emerging, but he already shows strong potential to become a loving companion with time and patience.
