Meet Crissy!

Crissy is a sweet girl who can be a little unsure when things feel new or overwhelming. Her finder says she is comfortable with being handled and cared for, including baths, brushing, and nail trims, but at the shelter she has been feeling nervous and needs some time to settle in. She's hoping for a patient person who will let her take things at her own pace.

My Ideal Home

Crissy would do best in a calm home with someone who understands that building trust takes time. She's used to three short walks a day and will need continued help with leash manners, especially around other animals.

Good with Other Pets?

Crissy's history with dogs is limited, and ACC recommends a home without cats or smaller pets.

Good with Kids?

Because Crissy is currently uncomfortable with touch and new experiences, ACC recommends an adult-only home where she can decompress and build confidence at her own pace.

Things to Know

She may be nervous in new situations, but with patience, consistency, and plenty of positive reinforcement, she can start feeling more secure in her new surroundings.
