Dunkin arrived at ACC as a stray, so his past is a bit of a mystery. While he may need a little extra time to warm up, this sweet boy has already shown that he is willing to connect with people and happily approaches for treats. Dunkin is looking for a patient family who will help him feel safe, build confidence, and discover all the good things life has to offer.

Dunkin would thrive in a calm home with an adopter who understands that trust takes time. He will benefit from slow introductions, positive reinforcement training, daily exercise, and enrichment activities to help him feel comfortable and confident. With patience and plenty of encouragement, Dunkin is ready to become your loyal companion.

Good with Other Pets?

Dunkin's history with other animals is unknown. Since he arrived as a stray, we recommend slow and thoughtful introductions to any furry friends in the home to help everyone feel comfortable and set up for success.

Due to Dunkin's fearful behavior and need for gentle interactions, a home without young children under 5 is recommended. He would do best with people who can respect his boundaries and allow him to build confidence at his own pace.

A Volunteer Writes: I just absolutely love Dunkin. I always look forward to seeing Dunkin! I cannot walk by his pop up crate without giving him treats. When ready for our walk together, Dunkin gracefully walked out and immediately snuggled up to my side. We didn't take long to connect. As we walked together it was impossible not to gaze deeply into his soulful eyes and adorable pout and then of course give him all the treats I had! We enjoyed a glorious sunset walk. Dunkin was such a soothing presence. I immediately felt myself relax with him. We were like old friends connecting after a long day; sharing our hopes and dreams. Neither of us wanted our walk to end. During our walk I easily imagined how we would spend the rest of our summer together: trips for pup cups, lounging in the park taking in more sunsets, or relaxing on the couch watching a movie or reading a book with Dunkin draped over me. My time with Dunkin was simply perfect!
