Chanel Dior initially entered the Care Center in July 2026, and was returned by her adopter in September 2026. They describe her as a social, affectionate, independent, and playful dog. While in a home environment, Chanel Dior was reported to display on-leash reactivity towards other dogs, cats, and small animals, lunging and snapping. She has a history of a bite to another dog, which approached her quickly on leash. This was a bite and release, and the other dog did not require medical attention. Chanel Dior has also displayed mild resource guarding during her first stay at the care center, tensing and body blocking a toy. Due to the behavior shown in the home and care centers, we recommend that Chanel Dior be placed in an adult-only home through a New Hope partner, who can provide positive reinforcement-based, force-free behavior modification.
