Meet Coco!
Coco is a sweet, affectionate girl whose idea of a perfect day involves a cozy spot on the couch, a few leisurely walks, and plenty of belly rubs! Her former family says she's a great listener who knows several commands and responds beautifully to positive reinforcement. She's happiest relaxing near her favorite people, and once she feels comfortable, she'll happily roll over for some extra affection. Coco is ready to find a home where she can feel safe, settled, and loved all over again!
My Ideal Home
Coco would love a calm home where she can enjoy life's simple pleasures. She's used to two daily walks of about 20 minutes, is crate trained, and knows how to settle into her dog bed when it's time to relax. She enjoys playing fetch and chewing on her favorite toys, but she's also perfectly happy spending an afternoon snoozing beside her people. A patient family who can help her feel comfortable with new experiences will be a wonderful match.
Good with Other Pets?
Her former family described her as friendly and playful with familiar dogs and comfortable around unfamiliar dogs on leash. She can be more reserved around unfamiliar dogs off leash, so introductions should be slow and thoughtful. Despite her previous experience living with a cat, ACC recommends a home without cats or other small pets because she has a history of lunging toward small animals.
Good with Kids?
Coco would do best in a home without children under 13. She's a sensitive girl who appreciates predictable, respectful interactions and will thrive with people who understand when she needs a little space.
Things to Know
Coco walks with only mild pulling and is a clever girl who knows cues like Sit, Down, Wait, and Come Here. She can feel unsure when startled or when someone reaches for her collar, so gentle handling and positive reinforcement will help her feel more comfortable. Her former family also noted that she can react to strangers approaching the home or yard, so she'll benefit from thoughtful management and training around visitors. She prefers to enjoy her food and favorite toys without anyone crowding her, and giving her space around valued items will help her feel at ease. With a little patience and lots of love, Coco is ready to settle into her next chapter and show off her sweet, snuggly side. This couch potato is ready to find her perfect cuddle companion!
