Maxine's owners surrender her to the care center due to housing issues. Maxine owners reported to be social, affectionate, active, playful. They spend their time where the people are, in the bedroom and the living room. They know how to sit, stay, and give paw. They allow bath/time and allow the owner to brush and bathe. They enjoyed walks 3-4 times a day. They have been crated in the past. Maxine is very social and smart! She loves any food and loves playing with toys. During car rides, getting in and being in the car makes her a little nervous. Maxine's has not acclimated well to the kennel environment and has allowed only minimal handling since intake. We recommend placement with a New Hope partner who can provide any necessary behavior modification (force-free, positive reinforcement-based) and re-evaluate behavior in a stable home environment before placement into a permanent home.
