My foster writes:

Meet Skyla, a dog made purely of love and happiness. Our nickname for her is PiggyWorm: Piggy for how cute and pink she is, and Worm for how she loves to wiggle her way into us when she snuggles. Skyla's favorite things are sleeping on the couch, belly rubs, and peanut butter. She is a simple girl; as long as she is with her humans, she is at peace. Every one of our friends who has had the privilege of meeting Skyla has instantly fallen in love with her calm demeanor and kissable face.
As someone who works from home, I have found Skyla to be the most delightful companion. When she is around, I am never lonely! Aside from a few short potty breaks each day, she can usually be found resting her head on my lap while I work, serving as somewhat of an "emotional support dog" during moments of stress. She has an incredible awareness of human emotions and seems to react accordingly, often coming over for extra cuddles when she senses that we need them.
It has been truly special to watch Skyla's big personality continue to flourish as we get to know her better each day. Whoever adopts Skyla should consider themselves lucky, because they are in for years of affection, loyalty, and genuine friendship.

Since I'm a long stay pup, my adoption fee has been reduced! Visit me today to find out my favorite treats and how you can take me home!

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I don't always like to share my food, toys or bedding with other animals.

I am eager to learn and would love to keep learning cues and tricks with you!

I am really treat motivated. You can use treats to teach me new things!

I really enjoy toys! I'll let you know my favorite one when we meet!

I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some canine body language together!

I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.

I would do best in a home with only adult humans.

I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.

I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.
