Baulette came to ACC when her owner could no longer care for her, and now this sweet girl is looking for a fresh start. She may be a little low key, but she has a lot of love to give and enjoys taking in her surroundings at her own pace. Baulette is a gentle pup who is ready to find a family that will appreciate her calm personality and help her continue building confidence.

Baulette would thrive with an adopter who enjoys a more relaxed companion and can provide daily walks, enrichment, and positive reinforcement training. She is a low energy girl who does not need a packed schedule, just a loving home where she can feel comfortable and cared for. With patience and encouragement, Baulette is ready to be your new best friend.

Good with Other Pets?

Baulette has shown some feelings when seeing other dogs while on leash. She may stare, fixate, or pull toward them, but she is easily redirected with guidance. Continued positive reinforcement training and slow introductions will help Baulette feel more comfortable around canine friends.

Baulette has been comfortable with handling and enjoys gentle interactions. As with any dog, respectful introductions and supervision are recommended to help her feel successful in her new home.

Things to Know

Baulette is a sweet, easygoing older lady who enjoys sniffing around, taking treats, and spending time with her people. She may have a little bark when she sees another dog, but she's learning that she doesn't have to be the neighborhood announcer. With a little guidance and a lot of love, Baulette is ready to find a home where she can relax, unwind, and be the belle of the ball!

My Boroughbreaker writes: From my boroughbreak with her, she was low‑key, cuddly, friendly, and showed no resource guarding at all (she won't even steal treats mistakenly placed right beside her). She pulled on the leash only for the first block out of excitement, but because she's obese she can only walk short distances - about 5-10 minutes - before needing a break. She walks nicely beside or slitely ahead of the handler with no pulling.
Baulette had only minor leash reactivity, and both times it was easy to redirect. In a dog‑packed Central Park she actually lost interest in other dogs and stopped paying attention to any passerby dogs. She wasn't interested in birds or squirrels either.
