At 50 lbs and 3 years old, Cookie's puppy days are over, but she is still up for a game of fetch or a long walk in a quiet neighborhood. Mostly though, Cookie is looking for snuggles and some healthy table scraps.

As a mellow, silly, homebody there is nothing in life that Cookie enjoys more than hanging out on the sofa and spending time with friends. Cookie loves people, whether they are her family or visiting her home for the first time. She greets everyone indoors with a wiggly but and non-stop tail wagging, begging for pets.

She is fully potty and crate trained, can be left alone, and knows many commands including sit, down, stay, leave it, off, come, and "up up" (to ask her to get couch of course). This smart cookie loves training and is VERY eager to please 🥹. She picks up on routines remarkably fast and quickly picks up on habits you may not even know you had!

Cookie's one and only flaw is her reactivity outside the home, which— given that the only history we know is she was abandoned at an NYPD precinct extremely pregnant— we can only think to attribute to lack of exposure to positive experiences outside in her previous life. If you have a backyard or live in a quiet suburban neighbourhood, you would have no idea how fearful she can be. In a safe space, she is her best self and the wiggliest happy pup who steals everyone’s hearts in an instant.

Cookie is not the currently the dog that will accompany you on trips to a brewery or farmers market, but she is the dog that will love you endlessly and always be there for you. A soul connection and a lifelong source of entertainment, sweetness, and affection. She will sweetly nudge your hand when she wants pets, or lay beside you as you bed rot with a migraine. She will haphazardly bring you a banana to peel for her, fill your days with laughter at her inability to catch a toy in her mouth, and look at you like you're her whole world for the rest of her days.
