Meet Loki!
Loki arrived at ACC as an owner surrender and is described as an affectionate and easygoing companion. He loves going on walks and is very well-behaved in the home.
My Ideal Home
Loki is looking for a home where he can be the only pet. He is friendly around people outside the house, and while he may bark when someone new enters, he quickly becomes friendly. He has lived with older children (ages 15, 17, and 19) and did well with them. He would thrive in a home that can provide daily mental and physical activity to keep him engaged and exercised.
Good with Other Pets?
Loki does not like cats and can be uncomfortable with other dogs, barking at them. He is recommended for a single-pet home.
Good with Kids?
Loki may be intimidated by young children and needs a slow approach and time to warm up. He should never be forced to interact with new people and should be allowed to greet and initiate an interaction at his own pace. Older, gentle children should have an in-depth interaction prior to adoption.
Things to Know
Loki is house-trained and has excellent bathroom skills, with no accidents reported in his foster home. He walks well on a leash, though he may pull when another dog is nearby. He knows cues like "sit" and "paw." He is active and enthusiastic, benefiting from long-lasting chews, food puzzles, and hide-and-seek games to positively direct his energy. He is reported to be fearful during thunderstorms. Loki has some ongoing medical needs that staff are happy to discuss.
Fun Fact
Loki is very affectionate and loves to give kisses! 🐾
Loki was surrendered by his previous owner due to their elderly circumstances. His foster parent describes him as a loyal companion who will be a great addition to some lucky person's family. Loki is available to a Level 1 adopter.
