Effie is an incredibly sweet, cuddly, playful, and loving 6-month old puppy. She’s obsessed with snuggling and will paw at you to ask for affection. She also loves to play, and has that fun puppy energy! Effie can be shy, and isn’t quite used to being outside. She’s still nervous and uncertain when it comes to her leash, doors, and stairs, so she’ll thrive with somebody who can patiently help her get more comfortable with the world around her. She’s been going on walks with her big sister (dog) and slowly getting more brave with them!
If there are three words to describe Effie, they are: playful, spunky, and affectionate!
Favorite Things: Snuggles, chewing on her bone, playing with her sister!
Temperament: Effie is great with other dogs! She loves to play with them, but is just as happy snuggling together.
Potty training: She’s still learning to go potty outside, but is consistent with going on pee pads inside when she needs to.
Shedding: Effie is low-shed and super soft! She does great in the bath.
Energy Level: 6. Effie loves to play, but she adores snuggles more than anything. Once she’s settled in your lap, she’s happy and calm. She’s learning independent play and is great with grabbing a toy or a bone by herself. She’s also good at fetch and retrieval!
Noise level: Effie is learning that she can bark, but exercises her voice pretty rarely!
Walking Manners: Effie is still nervous being outside, so she’s not quite used to her leash yet. She doesn’t pull; she’s just a bit uncertain! She’ll be great once she gets more comfortable.
Appetite: Effie has a great appetite and eats regularly, but isn’t food motivated. She’ll have a treat if offered, but doesn’t seek them out. She’s still teething, so she loves chewing on toys and bones.
Commands/Tricks: Effie can sit, but doesn’t quite know the command yet!
ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at WaldosRescue.org and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog. We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs. Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States and Korea.
Just Rescues does not process applications. The rescue's page is authoritative.
