My foster writes: Say hello to a dog who's looking for his people! This handsome 1-year-old is sweet, friendly, and housebroken. He's a great listener too, and picks up on direction like a champ.
His favorite things in life? Walks, runs, belly rubs, epic games of fetch, and snack time - especially when pumpkin yogurt or apple slices are involved.
A few fun facts to know: he's a bit of an escape artist (outsmarted his crate - quite impressive) and prefers to have his people close by. He can get nervous or startled by unexpected noises like a hair dryer or a trash can on the move. Nothing a little patience and reassurance can't handle! He'll express his appreciation with snuggles, kisses and lots of love and be your fur-ever friend.

Pop-Up Promo! ACC is over capacity, so I'm currently living in a pop-up crate. My adoption fees are waived, and my adoption comes with a $50 Chewy gift card.

Meet Charlie!

Charlie arrived at ACC as a stray, and while we don't know much about his past, we do know this sweet boy deserves a fresh start. Found tied up to a staircase, Charlie has shown incredible resilience and a gentle spirit despite everything he has been through. He is a soft-hearted pup who enjoys spending time with people and is ready to find a family who will show him the love and security he deserves.

My Ideal Home

Charlie would thrive with a patient adopter who can help him continue building confidence at his own pace. He will benefit from gentle introductions, positive reinforcement training, and a calm environment where he can feel safe and comfortable. With time and trust, Charlie is ready to become a loving and loyal companion.

Good with Other Pets?

Charlie's history with other animals is unknown. He has been calm and neutral around other dogs while at ACC, but slow introductions will help him feel comfortable and allow any potential furry friendships to develop naturally.

Good with Kids?

Charlie's history with children is unknown. Because he can be a little sensitive and head shy, any interactions with children should be slow and respectful of his boundaries. He would do best with people who understand that trust is built one gentle moment at a time.

Things to Know

Charlie is a gentle soul who has already shown that he wants to connect with people. He enjoys pets, approaches with a loose body, and has a sweet way of asking for affection. After such a difficult beginning, Charlie is ready for the simple joys of life: a cozy bed, kind humans, and a forever home where he can finally feel safe.
