ABOUT ME: Some dogs need to make a scene. Not me. I’ll wander over for a scratch, no pushing, no fuss. Add a little encouragement, though, and I’m running over, paws up, kissing your whole face. I’m a big, easygoing guy who took a while to warm up to the world, and now I’ve definitely got the moves. Other dogs? I’m cool sharing the room. Brooklyn’s a brand new dance floor, so I’ll be learning the steps.
MY FOSTER SAYS: I will arrive in Brooklyn soon! Badass will share more as soon as I’m in a foster home.
HISTORY
Jagger was found as a stray in Georgia after he turned up at a family’s home. The family fostered him until a spot opened up with our rescue partner. He remained in their care for several years until we met him. He will travel to Brooklyn in mid-October 2026.
DETAILED PROFILE
Jagger’s greeting comes in two parts. First, a calm, unhurried stroll over for a scratch, with zero pushing. Then, with the slightest encouragement, he trots right up, plants his paws, and kisses every inch of face he can reach.
That warmth took some time to surface. When our rescue team first met him about a year ago, he kept to himself and showed little interest in people or other dogs. On the most recent visit, he was friendly and happy with everyone, quietly asking for attention instead of waiting to be noticed. He’s a big adult guy with fairly chill energy who has no need to be the loudest one in the room.
He started out as a stray in Georgia who turned up at a family’s home, and they took him in for a while. He was reportedly great with their school-age son. With other dogs, he keeps things easy: during a test introduction, he shared space calmly and accepted a polite kiss on the nose, though play didn’t really interest him. A dog hoping for a wrestling partner may be underwhelmed; one hoping for a mellow housemate could be in luck.
He hasn’t landed in Brooklyn yet, so everything here is a first impression. His crate and house training, leash manners, energy at home, and comfort with cats are all still unknown, and his foster will fill in those blanks. Since he has a history of taking his time to open up, his adopter should plan for a real adjustment period as he trades Georgia for city sidewalks.
He’s got the moves, as it turns out. They just happen to be mostly kisses.
MEDICAL HISTORY
The dogs in our care are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered (when old enough), microchipped, and given a general health check. Immediate medical needs and medical history will be addressed with the adopter prior to adoption. Complete vet records will be sent shortly after adoption.
