Diamond is at risk due to behavioral reasons. Diamond recently returned to the care center due to a bite in the home. While on leash, another dog approached Diamond from behind. Diamond then turned and bit the dog; this bite broke skin and resulted in in a small wound. While in care, Diamond has been observed to be reactive to both people and dogs. When seeing other dogs, Diamond will fixate on them and begin barking with a high pitch. Medically, Diamond is healthy at this time.
Diamond was recently returned to the care center due to a bite incident. The foster parent was taking Diamond for a walk when another dog approaches Diamond. Diamond then turned and bit the other dog on the butt, resulting in 4 puncture wounds. While in care, Diamond has been observed to be reactive to people and dogs. Noted to fixate on people in the hallway. When seeing another dog, Diamond will fixate on them and begin barking with a high pitch. Due to the detailed behavior, we recommend an adult only, single pet home, with no trips to the dog park.
My foster writes: This sweet, silly girl brings smiles to our faces every single day! She's potty trained, gentle when taking treats, and does wonderfully when left home alone. Diamond has the softest fur and loves leaning in for pets once she feels comfortable. With her gorgeous coat and beautiful eyes, she's sure to turn heads wherever she goes!
At home, Diamond is a champion napper who loves snoozing in all sorts of silly positions. Every now and then, she'll show off her playful side with a game of tug-of-war with her toys! She's been left home alone for up to five hours without any issues, making her a great companion for someone who works outside the home.
She can be anxious and curious when exploring the world outside, so she'd likely thrive in a quieter neighborhood where she can feel more at ease. A home with a yard would be a wonderful bonus for her! She also knows some basic commands, including sit, paw, down, and leave it.
Diamond has so much love to give, and we can't wait for her to find a family who will cherish her as much as she deserves.
My foster writes: Meet Diamond! A sweet, silly girl who brings smiles to our faces every single day! Diamond is potty trained, gentle when taking treats, and does wonderfully when left home alone. She has the softest fur and loves leaning in for pets once she's comfortable. Diamond gets many compliments on her gorgeous coat and eyes - it's easy to see why.
She has a playful side but is also perfectly content snoozing on the couch while you work. When she's outside, her enthusiasm really shines, so she may especially enjoy a home with a yard where she can explore and burn off some energy! As a plus, she knows basic commands such as "sit" and "paw". This pup has so much love to give, and we know she'll make her forever family so happy!
