Max was brought to the care cneter following a bite incident in the home, after which the owner called the police to remove Max from the home. Max is noted ot have bitten the owner when they placed his muzzle on him for his walk, Max went after their ankle biting them and leaving a puncture. He is reported to have bitten 5+ which reported to have less severe nips. Max owners noted that he knowns sit, paw, come here and go home and he likes to get petting on the head. Max has not acclimated well to the kennel environment and has allowed only minimal handling since intake. We recommend placement with a New Hope partner who can provide any necessary behavior modification (force-free, positive reinforcement-based) and re-evaluate behavior in a stable home environment before placement into a permanent home.
