ABOUT ME: Laps are my specialty. Spot one, climb in, settle down, collect kisses. That’s the whole routine, and I’ve perfected it. I’m the bold one in my family: I go first, and my brother trails right behind me like I’m leading a parade. New dog friend? I’ll say hi. New experience? I’m in. I haven’t seen much of the world yet, so Brooklyn is first on my list, and I plan to slice right in.

MY FOSTER SAYS: I will arrive in Brooklyn soon! Badass will share more as soon as I’m in a foster home.

HISTORY

Fruit Ninja was found as a stray in Georgia and entered a local shelter with her brother in early June 2026. She will travel to Brooklyn in mid-October 2026.

DETAILED PROFILE

Fruit Ninja goes first. When our team met her and her brother in a Georgia shelter, she was the one leading the way, with him happily trailing behind. She’s a confident, playful puppy who treats every new experience as something to dive into rather than worry about.

Her first time on a leash was a full production. She flipped, she flopped, she pancaked onto the ground, and then she got back up and carried on. There was no fear in it, just a puppy who has seen very little of the world and isn’t sure yet what all the fuss is about. Leash training will start from the very beginning, and so will most of the basics.

What she already has down is people. She’s sweet, eager for attention, and quick to crawl into the nearest lap for snuggles and kisses. When she met another dog, she was curious and ready to say hi, with no nerves and no attitude.

She hasn’t arrived in Brooklyn yet, so everything here is a first impression from a shelter visit. Her energy at home, crate and house training, and how she does with kids and cats are all still unknown. Her foster will fill in those blanks once she’s had time to settle in, and her adopter should plan on puppy training and a real adjustment period.

For anyone who wants a bold, affectionate puppy to grow up alongside, Fruit Ninja has already volunteered to go first.

MEDICAL HISTORY

The dogs in our care are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered (when old enough), microchipped, and given a general health check. Immediate medical needs and medical history will be addressed with the adopter prior to adoption. Complete vet records will be sent shortly after adoption.
