Meet Tikki!

Tikki came to ACC when her owner was no longer able to care for her, and she's now looking for a patient person who can help her feel safe and settled again. She can be nervous when she's first approached, especially when it comes to leashing and handling, but once she was given the freedom to explore the office, her body quickly relaxed. Tikki may need a little time to come out of her shell, but she's already showing us that there's a softer, more comfortable side waiting to emerge.

My Ideal Home

Tikki would love a calm, quiet home where she can decompress and take things at her own pace. Her new family should be patient and allow her to build trust without rushing physical affection or new experiences. Give this sweet girl some time and space, and she'll have the chance to feel right at home.

Good with Other Pets?

Tikki's history with other animals is unknown, so her new family should take introductions slowly and thoughtfully. She'll need time to settle in before meeting any resident pets, with all introductions kept calm and supervised.

Good with Kids?

Tikki would do best in a home without young children under 5. She's currently uncomfortable with touch and leashing, so a quieter home with people who can respect her boundaries will help her feel more secure.

Things to Know

Tikki walks nicely once she's out, with no pulling, but she's wary of being leashed and may try to move her head away from the lead. She's also sensitive to touch and can become tense when handled, so her new family should focus on slow decompression, gentle interactions, and positive reinforcement as she learns that she's safe.
