This handsome boy is learning to trust again and has shown that he loves spending time with people once he feels comfortable. Bello enjoys affection, takes treats nicely, and has a special way of making connections with the humans around him.

Good with Other Pets?

Bello's history with other animals is unknown, but he has had some interactions with other dogs while at the shelter. Due to his body language during dog interactions, a home without dog parks is recommended, and any future dog introductions should be slow and thoughtful.

After a few minutes, he gently placed his paws on my arms and looked up at me with the sweetest, softest expression. As I gave him some gentle pets, he leaned right in, snuggled his head into my arm, and completely melted my heart.

And as I gently pet along his back, he snuggled his head into the crook of my arm. Bello was more than happy to lean back in and soak up all the affection I showered on him. It's amazing how quickly Bello has warmed up and felt trustful enough to solicit attention and initiate hugs. I honestly don't think it's possible to meet Bello and not fall in love with him. He's so sweet, gentle, and affectionate; and has a way of making you feel that the very best part of his day is being with you.

Considering what sounds like a difficult past, it is incredible how quickly Bello has learned to trust and seek out affection. He is a treat-loving, gentle pup who knows "sit," takes treats nicely, and has shown polite leash manners. Bello has a way of making you feel like being with you is the highlight of his day, and he is ready to find someone who will show him just how loved he can be.
