Ice was surrendered as a stray, so her past behavior in a home enviornment is unknown. Ice has been social with handlers and staff but shuts down and refuses to walk when attempting to take her outside for walks. She does not readily take treats or follow coaxing and will pancake. In her crate, Ice hard barks, growls, and lunges at her neighbor. When trying to cover her to reduce visual stressors, she pulls the covers in. Due to the concerns seen during her stay, we recommend that Ice to be placed in an adult-only home through a New Hope partner that can provide her with space and time to decompress and acclimate on her own terms.
