Hi! I'm Amped - but I go by Ranger! I also respond to Range and Range dange.

I'm the sweetest boy! I’m so loyal to my people, I love to cuddle, and get bursts of energy for playtime.

I have so much fun with other dogs, but equally enjoy being close to my humans whenever I can — I'm happiest cuddled up next to my foster parents (sometimes I even like sitting on top of them because I think I’m a lap dog 😂)

I spend most my days being a couch potato but get super excited for playtime. I love my foster parent’s heated blanket, when it’s on that’s where you’ll find me! I also like to burrow underneath the blankets so if I’m nudging you with my paw it’s because I want to go underneath. My rope is my favorite toy and I equally love to play tug of war as well as chewing on my toys independently. I can be protective of my people so I bark when I hear unfamiliar noises and when I hear my neighbors walk by. I’ve been learning to bark quietly now that I’m learning there’s no real danger.

I’m also the best on car rides. When my foster parents first picked me up I went straight into the back seat of the car and took a quiet nap on my hour drive to my foster home.

House Training 🐾

Ranger is the best pup at using the bathroom outside. He is very comfortable being home alone for longer hours with no accidents. As soon as we grab his leash he already knows it's time to go outside and jogs right over to the door ready for his walk. He is still learning to walk slowly and steady on his walks as he can get excited and pull, but he has made so much progress from his first couple of months with us.

He is also crate trained and if your a night owl he will eventually go into his crate to let you know it’s bedtime.

With a treat in your hand Ranger will show you all the commands he knows and he is always eager to show you he can learn more - Ranger is the smartest boy.

Ranger’s Ideal Home 🏡

• A family who can continue to teach me commands and has patience to help me continue to learn leash manners

• A family who lets me cuddle up next to them on the couch and burrow underneath the blankets (a plus if your okay with me lying in bed with you!)

• I’ll miss you if you work long hours, but I can be left in my crate for up to 8 hours with no worries

• I love to jump on top of people right now so a house with kids may not be ideal for me

We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog. We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.
