Meet Pongo!
Pongo is a high-energy guy with a big personality and plenty of enthusiasm to share! He's happiest when he's busy, engaged, and spending time with his people. Pongo can get overwhelmed and has a hard time settling when he's excited, but underneath all that energy is a dog who is eager to connect and ready for someone who can help him learn to channel his big feelings.

My Ideal Home
Pongo needs an active, patient home that can give him plenty of physical exercise, mental enrichment, and positive-reinforcement training. A predictable routine and plenty of rewarding activities will help Pongo feel more comfortable and successful.

Good with Other Pets?
His previous adopter reported that he could become reactive around other dogs. He'll need a home where he can be managed safely and where his family can work on his reactivity through reward-based training.

Good with Kids?
Because Pongo can jump persistently and has shown high levels of anxiety and excitement, we recommend a home without young children under 5. His new family should be prepared to give him calm, structured interactions while he works on learning more appropriate ways to say hello.

Things to Know
Pongo is a jumper who gets very excited about treats and attention, and he'll need some help learning that four paws on the floor gets him what he wants. Pongo has the potential to make great strides. He's ready to find someone who will help him turn all that Pongo energy into progress!
