Luna arrived at MACC as an owner surrender. Her previous owner states that she is fearful of loud arguments and will escalate to growling, barking, and snapping. While in care, Luna has also been observed to be fearful. Noted to be at the back of the kennel and will begin to lip lift when handlers attempt to coax her out of kennel. Due to the detailed behavior we recommend an experienced adult only home.

A staff member writes: Luna is a happy, affectionate girl whose whole body wiggles when she's excited to see her people! She loves getting out for walks, sniffing around, and soaking up attention from familiar faces. While she can be enthusiastic and pull a bit on leash at first, she's easy to handle, enjoys learning new things, and has already shown off her smarts by mastering "leave it" with her trainer. Luna has made wonderful progress during her stay and has become increasingly social with both people and dogs. She has participated in dog introductions and playgroups, and while slow introductions are always recommended, she's ready to bring her joyful personality and endless tail wags to her forever home.

My Boroughbreaker writes: Although anxious at first, Luna was comfortable with us as strangers and warmed up to us quickly (giving us lots of licks!). She was very interested in meeting other dogs (although we kept her away). She had lots of energy that day - only laid down for short periods after a 1.5 - 2hr walk. Leash manners are developing - she tends to pull and walks all over the place. She listens to commands when a treat is offered.
