We pulled Scrappy for the ACC of New York back in late Jan of 2025. He was partnered with a trainer to help resolve his leash reactivity towards strangers. Scrappy got better with the training in place for 10 months.

We adopted Scrappy out in November to a family that was introduced to us by another one of our partner trainers, with the agreement from the family that they would continue his training with him and follow our guidelines for Scrappy (making proper introductions to strangers, leash walking, supervising play time, etc.,).

Unfortunately, they never followed up with the training program and allowed Scrappy to regress, which resulted in 2 bites to different neighbors.

So now they given up on Scrappy and we took him back. Scrappy needs someone that will commit to the training he needs to be confident and overcome his protective nature.

Scrappy does well with other pets in the house. He had been fostered with a cat and rabbit and the former adopter had another dog.

He is a sweetheart to his family and deserves another chance.
